Nevalor Library User Guide
A simple guide to discovering, reading, saving and returning to books in Nevalor Library.
1. About Nevalor Library
Nevalor Library is a browser-based digital reading library bringing together books published through Nevalor Publishers and public-domain classics. You can browse the catalogue, search for books, filter and sort titles, read books online, save titles to My Library and continue reading from where you stopped.
2. Library Home
The Library home page provides several ways to discover books:
3. Browse the Library
Select Browse the Library to open the complete catalogue. From here you can search, filter and sort the available books.

Nevalor Store
Visit the Nevalor Store to explore books and editions available through Nevalor Publishers beyond the online reading catalogue.
5. Opening a Book
Select a book from the catalogue to open it in the Library reader. The reader automatically records that you have started reading the book.
Each book displays its title, author and book type. Books may be identified as PUBLIC DOMAIN or NEVALOR PUBLISHERS.
6. The Reader
The reader is designed for reading directly in your browser. It includes navigation and reading controls without requiring a separate application.
Chapter Selection
Use the chapter selector to move directly to another chapter or section of the book.
Previous and Next
At the bottom of the reader, use Previous and Next to move between chapters or sections.
Text Size
Use A− and A+ to decrease or increase the reading text size.
Text Alignment
The reader provides two text alignment options:
Your selected text size and alignment are saved in the browser.
7. Reading Progress
Nevalor Library automatically saves your reading position as you read. Your progress can include the current chapter and your position within it.
When you return to the Library, books that you have started but not completed can appear under Continue Reading.
Select Resume to return to your saved reading position.
8. My Library
My Library lets you save books for easier access later. Select the heart button on a book to add it to your personal Library.
The button changes between:
Select the button again to remove a book from My Library.
9. Continue Reading
Continue Reading is separate from My Library. It is based on books for which the Library has saved reading progress.
A Continue Reading entry can show:
A completed book is no longer included in Continue Reading.
10. Returning to the Catalogue
Use ❮ Back to Library or the Library navigation button to return to the catalogue.
Your reading position is saved when you leave the reader, allowing you to return later.
11. Reading on Mobile
Nevalor Library is designed to work on both desktop and mobile browsers. The reader controls adjust to smaller screens so that books can be read comfortably on a phone or tablet.
12. Your Reading Preferences
The Library remembers your reading preferences in your browser, including text size and text alignment.
Your saved books and reading progress are also stored locally in the browser. They are therefore associated with that browser rather than being a synchronised account-based Library.
13. Changing Browser or Device
Because My Library and reading progress are stored locally in the browser, they may not appear automatically if you move to another browser, computer or mobile device.
14. Finding a Specific Book
The quickest method is:
- Open Browse the Library.
- Enter the book title or author's name in the search box.
- Use the Collection or Type filters if required.
- Use the sorting options if you want to arrange the results.
- Select the book to begin reading.
15. Starting a New Book
Choose a title from the catalogue and select it to open the reader. You can add the book to My Library if you want to keep it easily accessible for later.
16. Continuing Later
You do not need to finish a book in one sitting. Simply leave the reader when you are finished. The Library saves your reading position and can show the book under Continue Reading when you return.
17. If a Book Cannot Be Loaded
If the Library cannot load a book, it may display:
If this happens, refresh the page and try opening the book again.
18. Book Formats
The Library reader processes book text and divides it into readable chapters or sections. It supports several chapter formats used by the catalogue, including numbered chapters, Roman-numeral chapters and other recognised section headings.
Nevalor books may also contain scene-break markers that are recognised by the reader when processing the text.
